The LGBT Chamber was invited to table at the UMKC LGBTQIA Ice Cream Social, Thursday, Aug. 22.
Joy Hope along with Ambassadors Jason Eckhoff and Jessica Mumma, were able to chat with university students about the Chamber.
In order to get a free ice cream, students had to get four signatures from attending organizations, and if they got eight signatures they received a free t-shirt.
According to a follow-up email from UMKC there were 356 students who engaged with the program this year.
