Transformations in the Workplace 2025

Last Friday, we gathered for an inspiring and impactful Transformations in the Workplace conference, bringing together business leaders and community members to explore the evolving landscape of workplace inclusivity. From engaging discussions to meaningful networking opportunities, the day was filled with insightful conversations about fostering truly inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ employees.

We couldn’t have made this event possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to Burns & McDonnell for opening their doors to create a space where important discussions could thrive. Combined with our other sponsors; Inclusion level- Evergy, KC Care Health Center, Renew Your Workplace; Equity level- Kansas City Public Library; and Patron level- Berkowitz Oliver, Children's Mercy Kansas City, Dutzel's Catering and Events, Summit Phone Repair, your support empowers businesses to take real action in building welcoming and diverse workplaces.

From Drs. Hardin and Cody sharing what it takes to achieve and maintain HRC Healthcare Equality Index Certification, to James Maiden highlighting the benefits of ERGs, to LGBTQ activist and icon Lea Hopkins inspiring us with her insights on resilience, and Zach Rose-Heim’s interactive LEGO demonstration—Transformations in the Workplace showcased the power of education and advocacy in creating truly inclusive workplaces.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their expertise, and contributed to the success of the event. We look forward to seeing how these conversations turn into action in the months ahead!
