
Kansas City, MO (April 8, 2025) —The Missouri Broadcasters Association has named Kansas City PBS and Flatland finalists in seven categories for the 2025 MBA Awards. MBA will announce the winners of each award on Saturday, May 31, at Margaritaville in Osage Beach.
"Our team consistently exceeds expectations, and I couldn't be prouder of their dedication to excellent programming," said Kliff Kuehl, president and CEO of Kansas City PBS. "We are grateful to the Missouri Broadcasters Association for honoring their efforts.”
Kansas City PBS and Flatland were recognized as finalists in the following categories:
Best Use of Digital Media – Non-News: Crime and Trauma Scene Cleaning
Best Use of Digital Media – Non-News: “Alligator Snapping Turtles Reintroduced to Kansas”
Best Promotion – Non-News: The Stadium Tax Debate
Best News Anchor: Nick Haines
Best Documentary: Healing Hate
Best Documentary: AIDS in KC: Getting to Zero
Best Station Sponsored Community Event: Harvesting Change Shop & Talk
