The August 27, 2024, Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce Coffee Connections was held at the Kansas City Art Institute.

More than 40 individuals attended and enjoyed coffee and snacks.

Chadwick Brooks, Assistant VP of Institutional Advancement at KCAI, told those gathered that the school has a current enrollment of 812, which is the largest student body in its history. And that 38% of those are first generation college students and 66% identify as LGBTQ+.
