The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce congratulates Ronawk on their nomination for the third year for The Coolest Thing Made in Kansas. Ronawk was notified that its Bio-Block technology was scored well by a panel of judges and is now competing in the Final Four for the Coolest Innovation in Kansas. Ronawk's co-founded and owner Dr. A.J. Mellott stated, "We are thrilled and honored to be a contender. Wish us luck, as we present and compete to make Bio-Blocks the Coolest Innovation in Kansas."
The contest to determine the coolest thing made in Kansas began with forty nominated products. Contestants were reduced to seventeen in the first round of judging and four in the remaining round. The final round will be held on October 12th where the four finalists will make an in-person presentation about their innovative product. The panel of six judges will make select the winning product based on criteria that include how well the product overcomes the challenge it was designed to solve, and its impact on the business, its employees, and its community.
Suzanne Wheeler, Mid-America LGBT Chamber Executive Director shared, "We couldn't be more proud of the Ronawk team. Their innovation and dedication to the improvement of their industry and community are changing the world for the better. They are an outstanding example of the impact that certified LGBTQ Business Enterprises make our economy and society."

About the LGBTQ Business Enterprise (LGBTQBE) Certification
The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) on the LGBTQ Business Enterprise (LGBTQBE®) certification program. NGLCC is the nation's only third-party certification body that verifies that eligible businesses are majority-owned by LGBTQ individuals, and subsequently grants the LGBTBE® designation. Application fees for LGBTQ certification are waived for members of the Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
By becoming a certified LGBTBE, business owners are able to build relationships with America’s leading corporations, generate prospective business and clients, and collectively team with each other for contracting opportunities. Certified LGBTBEs are routinely sought after by Chamber and NGLCC corporate partners who are looking to increase their purchasing within diverse communities.
