Tell us about the mission of your non-profit?
The Modern Family Alliance (MFA) is dedicated to fostering inclusive communities and supporting diverse family structures through education, community building, and collaboration. By conducting educational programs and providing resources, MFA raises awareness about the unique dynamics and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ families. These efforts aim to promote inclusivity in schools, workplaces, and communities while equipping individuals and institutions with the tools to embrace diversity.
MFA also focuses on creating strong community networks, organizing events and activities that bring together families from various backgrounds. These initiatives help to build connections, foster understanding, and provide mutual support among members, ensuring no family feels isolated.
Collaboration lies at the heart of MFA's mission. The organization actively partners with educational institutions, corporations, and other nonprofit organizations to amplify its impact and drive meaningful change. By working together, MFA seeks to create a society where diverse families are not only recognized but celebrated.

What do you love most about being part of the Chamber?
As a member of the Chamber, one of the things we love most is the strong sense of community and support. The Chamber provides an incredible platform for connection, collaboration, and advocacy, bringing together businesses and organizations that are committed to inclusion and equality. Being part of this network has allowed Modern Family Alliance to expand its reach, build meaningful partnerships, and gain valuable resources to better serve LGBTQ+ families. The Chamber’s dedication to fostering economic and social growth for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies makes it an invaluable space for empowerment and progress.
How can our Chamber best support and be involved with your non-profit?
Members of the Chamber can support MFA through financial contributions, volunteer engagement, in-kind support, and advocacy. Businesses can provide monetary donations, sponsor MFA events, or implement matching donation programs to enhance fundraising efforts. Employees can volunteer at MFA events or join MFA’s board or committees to help guide its growth. Additionally, members can donate professional services such as legal, financial, marketing, or technology support, as well as contribute in-kind resources like event space or catering to increase MFA’s visibility. Advocacy is also crucial—Chamber members can amplify MFA’s mission through social media, business networks, and direct connections, helping to expand its reach to more LGBTQ+ families and allies.
