Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tracey DeMarea, interviewed Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Joe Reardon as part of the Central Exchange CEO Series, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024.
Reardon spoke about the importance of thinking bigger as a Chamber while also thinking more regionally. He spoke about the upcoming challenges surrounding the 2026 World Cup which is being held in Kansas City.
He explained during that the World Cup, Kansas City is expecting approximately 650,000 visitors over the course of the 5 weeks, about 60 percent of whom will be international.
When DeMarea asked what makes a good mentor and mentee, Reardon explained a good mentor is someone who believes in a person when it is most important. And that a good mentee is someone who follows their curiosity.
